AISHWARYA RAI;MAKES BY GOD


Aishwarya Rai was born on 1st Nov 1973 in Manglore, Karnatka, India. She was younger of the two siblings, her brother being 3 yrs elder. When she was about 4 years old her family moved to Bombay permanatly. The celestial beauty Aishwarya, won Miss World Title at Sun City in 1994 and has since then become the hottest property of Bollywood. Her stupendous success as Miss World was followed by an equally matchless accomplishments in the film world. Aishwarya, who came into Bollywood by default, as she was flooded with offers after being crowned in Sun City, has now become the undisputed monarch of the tinsel territory. Buoyed by her success she is now looking westwards. Soon she will be appearing in Bride and Prejudice a re-working of the Jane Austin classic opposite actor Martin Henderson (The Ring), directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham). How this movie fares at the box office remains to be seen but it has definitely given a fillip to her career as she has got many offers from the Hollywood.

Born to a marine engineer father and a teacher mother at Manglore, Aishwarya has spent most of her life in Mumbai. She did her matriculation from Arya Vidya Mandir and later joined Jai Hind College. DEEPIKA PADUKONE

One look at this dimpled beauty and you know she was marked for fame and the world of glamour. And she hasn’t disappointed. From the daughter of a famous sportsperson to a supermodel, to an actress and now dating the dishy Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone has done it all with panache.

Growing up
Deepika arrived into the scene on 5th January 1986, in
Copenhagen, Denmark. She is the daughter of Ujjala and Prakash Padukone, who was the Badminton Champion. The sports genes runs in her family, for she herself played badminton at state level until 10th grade while her younger sister Anisha has taken to sports on a more professional level, with a strong interest in golf.
She did her schooling in
Sophia High School and her graduation from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.

Deepika Padukone has appeared in several print and television commercials like Liril, Limca and Close-up. She was the brand ambassador for Jewels of India, a jewelry exhibition and the face of Maybelline, an international brand. She also appeared in the 2006 Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar.
She received recognition on the modeling scene by

winning the Model of the Year title by the fifth Kingfisher Fashion Awards. The India Zee F Awards saw her walking away with not one but two prizes – Female Model of the Year (Commercial assignments) and Fresh Face of the Year.
She graced Himesh Reshamiyya’s video ‘Naam Hai Tera’ from his album Aap Ka Suroor.

It was hardly any surprise when she stepped into films in 2006 with her debut Aishwarya, a Kannada movie directed by Indrajit Lankesh, opposite Upendra who is one of the leading stars in the Kannada film industry.
Bollywood was not far behind. Her debut Farah Khan’s Om Shanthi Om was opposite none other than Shah Rukh Khan. She played a double-role, first as Shanthipriya a movie star and later as the bubble gum chewing star-struck
Sandy. She walked away with the Filmfare Best Female Debut award and was nominated for the Filmfare Best Actress award.

ACTRESS KATE ELIZABETH


Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born in a family of artists on October 5, 1975. She was raised in Leading, Berkshire, England and was the second of four children. Kate was naturally talented as her lineage shows. Her maternal grandparents ran the Reading Repertory Theatre, her uncle was in the London's West End theater and her parents Roger and Sally were both stage actors. She followed in the family footsteps at age 11, when she began studying drama. She made her professional debut on television as a spokes child for a popular British cereal and went on to attend a performing-arts high school. This was followed by appearances in television series; Casualty, Dark Season, Get Back, and Anglo-Saxon Attitudes. She had to battle a weight problem and depression. HOT KAREENA KAPOOR


Kareena Kapoor had two great birthday surprises this year. The first was when Aamir Khan postponed their shoot for 3 Idiots from September 21 to 25 and then it got better when beau Saif Ali Khan flew in her mom and close friends to Udaipur where she was shooting for a magazine cover. Last year too the actress was shooting on her birthday (September 21) for 3 Idiots. This year too, when the shooting was delayed, she accommodated and gave up her janam din date. When Aamir learnt about it, he requested Raj Kumar Hirani to postpone the shoot, ad let her have a free day. Bebo was in Rajasthan on Saturday for a shoot and was to return later in the day. But that evening, Saif flew in and booked them into the Udai Vilas Palace Hotel.


Then on Sunday night, he surprised her further by flying in her best
friend Reena, her designer Shabina Khan, some other close friends and her mom Babita to bring in her birthday. Says a source close to the actress, "He had booked a suite and in true Saif style, he had it decorated it with candles, flowers and everything that she loves. Saif had recently taken her for a European holiday so Bebo wasn't expecting Saif to surprise her again, which he did!"

DIA MIRZA


Dia Mirza, graduated from modeling into Bollywood with a crown perched on her pretty head. Basics on Dia This German-Bengali actress was born as Dia Handrich on 9th December 1982 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Her father was a German interior designer, Frank Handrich and her mother is a Bengali, Deepa. Dia’s parents divorced when she was six years old. Her father passed away three years later. Her mother remarried a Muslim, Ahmed Mirza. She spent her school years in Hyderabad at the Vidyaranya High School for Boys & Girls and later at Nazr School. Dia was dating Bunty Sachdev, actor Kunal Kapoor and director Apoorva Lakhia. She was placed as second runner up at the Femina Miss India 2000 and represented India and won the title of Miss Asia Pacific in 2000.

2001 to 2003 Dia landed in the film industry with her debut Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein that was a remake of the Tamil hit Minnale. It cast her opposite Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. Her second movie was Deewanapan with Arjun Rampal. She had only one release in 2002 Tumko Na Bhool Payenge. In Tehzeeb (2003), she
played a mentally challenged girl opposite Shabana Azmi and Urmila Matondkar. Dum (2003), Tumsa Nahin Dekha (2004) were other releases that didn’t really get the audience to flock theaters. 2004 to 2008 She reprised the role of Gayatri Tantya in the hit Parineeta (2004). Dus (2004), Blackmail(2004), Fight Club(2006) and Alag (2006) were her other releases. She appeared in a song in the comedy Phir Hera Pheri (2006) and as Simran in the hit sequel Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006). In 2007, she had some success with movies like HoneymoonTravels Pvt Ltd, Shootout at Lokhandwala and Heyy Babyy. Krazzy 4 (2008) did badly.
2009 Dia Mirza’s forthcoming movies are Fruit & Nuts, Aankh Micholi, Bits & Pieces and she will also be part of a reality
game show Kaho Naa Yaar Hai.
